Current website and future services
This draft describes the planned connected services operated by CineTechGear LLC. The separate Privacy & site information page describes the website as it operates today. Customer accounts, payment collection, newsletter delivery, and community submissions are not enabled by this draft.
Information needed to provide the service
When connected services open, CTG expects to process verified account email and identifiers; order items, totals, payment references and purchase source; shipping information for physical orders; software entitlements and device public-key identifiers; support messages you choose to provide; and dated policy and marketing-preference records.
Device records support activation limits and recovery. They are not a reason to collect unrelated contacts, photographs, or precise location. CTG’s account system should not store complete payment-card details. Square, Apple, or Google will process the payment information for the relevant purchase.
What CTG uses it for
CTG uses necessary records to fulfill orders, verify purchases, provide licensed capabilities, manage devices, prevent abuse, assist customers, and meet transaction and legal obligations. Marketing uses a separate optional choice. Registering, purchasing, or restoring a store purchase will not automatically subscribe you.
CTG does not claim ownership of your productions. Captured footage, audio, and scripts are not automatically uploaded to the account service. Any future cloud feature must explain what it transfers before use.
Service providers and disclosures
CTG plans a dedicated Supabase account service and Square website payment processing. Hosting, email delivery, fulfillment, and other providers must be identified and configured before they receive customer information. Apple and Google handle information for purchases made through their stores under their own policies.
CTG’s proposed policy is not to sell or rent customer mailing lists. Necessary information may be shared with service providers, to address security or fraud, to meet legal requirements, or in a lawful business transfer with appropriate notice and protections. Provider locations and any international transfer arrangements remain to be documented before launch.
Preferences, access, and deletion
You will be able to stop marketing without signing in through the unsubscribe link in a marketing message. Account preferences will provide another route. This will not remove paid features. Necessary receipts and security messages are separate from advertising.
The service must provide verified access, correction, recovery, and account-deletion requests. CTG will remove or deidentify account information no longer needed while retaining only records required for transactions, security, disputes, or legal obligations. Retention periods, the request contact, and applicable regional rights must be finalized before collection begins. A deletion request is not completed merely because it was submitted.
Security and policy updates
The service is being designed with verified sign-in, restricted administrative access, server-side authorization, and limited data collection. No service can promise absolute security. Before launch CTG must confirm its processors, retention schedule, contact details, customer markets, and privacy-request handling. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
