CINETECHGEAR / TOOLS FOR THE SHOT

Useful tools.
Room to create.

CineTechGear develops practical hardware and software for filmmakers working with the equipment, people, space, and budget they have. Compact lights, adaptable camera support, and connected production tools share the same aim: make a useful capability easier to reach.

Built from real production problems.

CTG began with Heath Firestone designing compact lights for his own studio and portable kits. 3D printing made it possible to test a shape, improve a joint, and create a modifier without commissioning a mold for every version. MiniCine grew into a family of light-shaping, mounting, and power options.

Work with the gear you already own.

We prefer familiar connections and adaptable parts to requiring a complete replacement setup. MiniCine mounts use established threaded and baby-mount arrangements. The developing camera-support range combines 15 mm rails, an Arca-Swiss interface, threaded points, and dedicated grip mounts. CineZip and CinePort address the smaller connections that make a rig useful.

Non-proprietary is a design principle. It does not mean every connector, modifier, or product fits everything. Clear specifications, explicit compatibility, and sensible accessory suggestions are part of making that principle useful.

Keep a tool working.

CTG supports repairability and the right to repair. Accessible fasteners, replaceable pieces, and retained designs can make a small mechanical repair worthwhile. Service terms and part availability will be specific to the product; the aim is to extend useful life rather than turn a worn piece into a reason to discard the whole tool.

Removing the pain points of production and post.

CineSuite grew out of the practical difficulty of filming yourself: read the script, see the shot, control the camera, and keep track of sound. It began with CinePrompt on an iPhone and expanded around the studio functions that made those jobs easier.

CineSuite brings advanced camera control, monitoring, teleprompting, compositing, audio, and remote operation into mobile production. CineTrack is being developed to make virtual filmmaking accessible to ordinary filmmakers. CinePost builds toward using the scene and information captured on set to make more advanced postproduction easier to approach.

CineCam is the free camera at the heart of CineSuite. Add individual capabilities or choose the full suite for camera, remote production, prompting, compositing, and audio tools. CineTrack and CinePost are separate products with their own release information; available features depend on the platform and equipment.

Current designs, revised accessories, and coming-soon concepts are identified throughout the catalog. Original media remains useful, with earlier configurations labeled. Prices and availability are being finalized before checkout opens.
