CINETECHGEAR / PRODUCT STORY

MiniCine Creator Edition.
A different light.

The MiniCine story, updated October 17, 2026.

MiniCine Creator Edition with diffusion, barn doors, and its yoke mount

MiniCine started with the practical problems of a small production: a light can be too large, too power-hungry, too expensive, or too limited for the place you need to put it. The answer was a compact fixture with useful choices around it.

Give a small light a specific job.

Use it for a catchlight, separation, a product highlight, or an accent behind a subject. Bring it onto a desk, workbench, or tabletop. In a close setup it can also contribute to key or fill; distance, ambient light, diffusion, and the area you need to cover still determine the result.

Shape it for the scene.

Barn doors help contain spill. An eggcrate gives the light more direction. Diffusion changes the treatment of the source. A retention ring allows a compact eggcrate arrangement without doors, while the deep-door option provides clearance over a suitable grid for transport. Revised eggcrates incorporate a rear filter holder and diffusion.

Use the supports you already know.

The range includes a 45° yoke and articulated mounting options with baby-mount and 1/4″-20 connections. Choose the arrangement for your stand, arm, or tabletop support. CTG’s aim is to work with useful existing equipment and make the specific connections clear.

Choose the edition by the way you work.

Creator Edition includes a 3000 / 4000 / 5000 K switchable bulb with 90+ CRI. It suits a setup where one of those settings works and the fixture is accessible. Professional adds a continuously adjustable 2200–6700 K range, 95+ CRI, remote control, and a touchscreen for setups that need more adjustment or a light that is difficult to reach.

Final output, power arrangements, kit contents, prices, and availability are being confirmed before ordering opens. Earlier demonstrations show useful design and mounting ideas, but their older bulbs and specifications are not the current Creator Edition.
